Ambulance Project

There are between 9-10,000 Afghan refugees in Khurasan. This is just one of the camps that house close to one million of the three million refugees still in Pakistan that need our assistance. During my recent visit, I learned that the health unit in the camp, and in other camps nearby, provide the basic services, but have no means of proper transport to major medical facilities, particularly for the women and children when they are in need of more specialized attention. I have learned we can acquire, outfit, staff, and provide a new ambulance for $48,000. and some generous donors have committed half these funds on a matching basis. Your contribution will make a difference in saving lives.

USA for UNHCR, in partnership with the International Medical Corps (IMC) and Government of Pakistan’s Commissioner for Refugees (CAR) are working together to support the Ambulance Fund Drive.
