Hi Everyone,

My name is Heath Hamblen and I am 20 years old. I have been racing motocross for over eight years now. I started when I was 12 years old in the beginner class and just worked my way up to the professional ranks. I have been racing the pro class for two years now.

I was born in Anchorage, Alaska and grew up on snow machines and with a sled dog team. We moved to Woodinville, Washington when I was nine years old and my Dad purchased a Suzuki DS80 for me. Later we upgraded and my Dad purchased a Yamaha YZ85.

I then hooked up with a riding instructor, Eric Waunch from www.ewmxschools.com. Eric has taken my riding level from beginner to the professional ranks. I now help Eric with instructing his MX riding schools. We have traveled and raced all around the U.S. at all the major amateur national events.

For 2009 I will be competing in Alaska and riding for Performance Yamaha of Wasilla AK. Performance Yamaha has agreed to sponsor me for the 2009 season and I am super pumped to be a part of their team. I will be racing the Alaska State Championship races as well as some local races in Alaska. I will also be competing at the arena cross race at the Sullivan Arena in Anchorage on September 19th.
