L&Q is the longest-running Queer writers’ showcase of its kind in Western Canada, and has spawned dozens of mainstage writers, performers and theatre hits in its time, featuring writers from all over Canada and in the U.S., as well as musicians who have launched careers, embraced by the enthusiastic and energetic L&Q audience.

 

This year’s lineup features the newest work by such diverse writers as Nick Green, TL Cowan, Gerald Osborn, Susan Jeremy & Mary Fulham, James Tyler Irvine, Rosemary Rowe, Berend McKenzie, Chandra Mayor, Janice Williamson, Philip Jagger, Laurie MacFayden, Darrin McCloskey, Jocelyn Brown, Michaela Washburn, Norm Sacuta, Chandra Mayor, Stanley Carroll, Jeanne Wood, J. Spencer Rowe, Mark Stubbings, Romeo Desmarais III, and Jonathan Sienan, and will feature films created by Danielle Peers & Melisa Brittain, and Trevor Anderson, as well as original music performed by Nancy Price, Andy Northrup, and Marshall Watson, and the L&Q debut of Edmonton Vocal Minority. Look for a surprise appearance as well by Euro-supermodel Susanna Patchouli, and some stunning Drag performance by Twiggy and Bianca.

 

The scripts are performed by a stellar cast: Antonio Bavaro, Leona Brausen, Linda Grass, and Jeff Haslam. The proceedings are directed by Darrin Hagen.
