




Some 50 years ago, Loard’s was founded in the San Francisco Bay Area to serve premium ice cream to its customers. Back then, not much attention was paid to high-fat, low-fat and heaven forbid - non fat!
People just knew they liked Loard’s ice cream and how it tasted - rich and creamy. The truth is - Loard’s ice cream, then and now, is not a reduced fat menu item and we’re proud of it! We use the highest grade dairy creams with premium ingredients and minimal whipped air. Diet fads may come and go, but you can count on Loard’s to be there serving a classic premium ice cream.
Both the Moraga and Orinda Loard’s locations are family-owned and run by Brooks, Jamie, and Amanda Stubblefield. It all started with one daughter’s after-school job, and ended up as the most delicious decision of their lives. Brooks and Brad, Miramonte High School sweethearts both born and raised in Orinda, wanted to stay true to the Loard’s they grew up with, and in doing so, the Stubblefield’s have given their stores a sweet nostalgic essence.
