Hello, Woof!  I’m Schnauzer Sam, my full name is Countryside Samuel

                            Franz Brentano, but you can call me Sam. I got the big name because

                            my family wants to breed me when I’m a grown up (I’m a miniature

                            schnauzer). Right now I’m still a puppy and I just love to play. My

                            family wants me to learn to do tricks and to go to the bathroom

                            outside. And I love to make them happy, so I am trying hard to

                            remember the house rules.


My family and I are going to share my progress with you, the techniques they find work well and those they find don’t help me fit into the family. We’ll also share my favorite toys and any medical issues a Schnauzer owner needs to think about. SAMS POTTY TRAINING ADVICE

Minature Schnauzers like me are easy to train to use a specific spot in the yard to do their business. It only took me 1 1/2 weeks to to understand my family wants me to use an area at the far right hand side of the yard where we do not have grass. They were really good about helping me learn. For the first week, I was picked up and carried him to that spot every 2 hours. Each time they said “potty.” and when I used the area they gave me lots of praise, but no treats.
