Bridget Butler on Forest Bird  Initiative

Bridget discusses Vermont Audubon’s Forest Bird Initiative and the “Birder’s Dozen” that are the focus of workshops to educate landowners in protecting  neotropical migrants.  The 12 species were chosen to represent 39 such annual visitors known as “Responsibility Birds” because a high proportion (in some cases 90 percent) of their global populations breed in the Northeast.
