Policies for Twenty~Seven Pines
Massage & Herbals
My requirements of clients:
1. New clients should please arrive 15 minutes prior to their first appointment to fill out necessary paperwork. Please bring with you a list of any prescription medications and vitamin supplements.
2. Be present. Unless you are on prescribed medications, please do not be under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs. If you are, you will not get on my table. If on pain meds, please hold off taking them until after your appointment.
3. Clients provide a health history and update when necessary.
4. If cancellation is necessary, please give sufficient notice so that I may have time to fill your vacated slot. Emergency cancellations are determined at the practitioner’s discretion.
5. Payment is expected at the time service is rendered, unless other arrangements have been made prior to treatment. I will give receipts upon request. (Cash, checks, or money orders only at this time please.)
6. Sexual harassment is not tolerated. If the practitioner’s safety feels compromised, I keep an eight hundred and forty-seven pound gorilla in my closet that is trained to my voice commands. The session will end immediately, and you will be charged for the whole appointment~plus cost for a bushel of organic bananas.
7. My office and grounds are a non-smoking environment.

What clients may expect from me:
1. Privacy and confidentiality are maintained at all times.
2. Personal and professional boundaries are respected at all times.
3. Clients are draped with a sheet at all times during the session. Only the part of the body being worked on is exposed at any time.
4. I provide my clients with a professional “tailor made” appointment, addressing the client’s specific needs for that session.
5. I am available to my clients between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. and clients may leave a message on my phone up to 9 p.m. in evenings.
6. I return calls within 24 hours.
7. Clients are treated with respect and dignity at all times.

9. I give appointment cards for your next session. Phone call confirmations may be made prior to your next session if agreed upon before hand.
10. I perform services for which I am qualified (physically and emotionally) and able to do, and refer my clients to appropriate specialists when work is not within my scope of practice.
11. I keep accurate records and review charts before each session.
12. I stay current with information and techniques by reading, receiving regular sessions (of the same service I provide) and taking at least one workshop a year.
13. All herbal appointments will be researched after your herbal consult, along with a follow up, so that I may provide you with the best treatment for your whole health regiment. This is included in the fee.
14. All my herbs used in client treatment formulas are either grown on my property without pesticides, ethically wild-crafted, or are purchased from organic growers.
15. If I need to cancel an appointment, I do so within 24 hours whenever possible. If an emergency arises and I cannot keep an appointment, I provide a 50% discount on your next session. For non-emergency cancellations of less than 24 hours, your next session is at no charge.
16. My equipment and supplies are clean and safe, and all stones used are cleaned with anti-bacterial soap after each session and sterilized once a week. Sheets are washed with a disinfecting agent after each session, I use products without perfumes or strong scents. Scented lotions applied upon request.
17. Discharge policy: If a client continues to present with the same issues after continued massage or herbal treatments, I will encourage them to see their health care practitioner before any further sessions will be performed.
18. I encourage all my clients to advocate for their own health, and I do my best to inform them of healthy changes that may be made to their lifestyle.
My Motto: Let healthy organic (where possible) foods be your medicine~”It is cheaper to pay the farmer than to pay the doctor.” I support local farmers markets every chance I get. “Local trumps Organic”. ( Many local farmers will grow their produce organically without pesticides, but have just not gotten the Organic seal of approval-yet. )
