Bachelor weekend Posted Tuesday, April 21, 2009  A little late getting this one up on the blog. Initially, Tiff and I had planned to co-blog her weekend with Heather and mine with Matthew for his bachelor party. Three weeks later that hasn’t happened so I’m flying solo. Thanks to everyone for coming out to Ann Arbor for Mdog’s bachelor party. While many of the details are a little fuzzy, I can say with certainty that a good time was had by all. Cheers to Jim Thiel speaking gibberish, freezing at Fleetwood, beers in the sink, Mr. Spots, Sparta, plenty of hoops, the crazy guy leftover from hash bash, getting interviewed by ESPN.com, Pinball Petes, snow in April, a Tar Heel national championship and most especially to the bachelor: One Matthew James Grandstaff.                                -cmg
Happy birthday Tiff! Posted Wednesday, April 1, 2009  It’s a day early, but it’s a week-long celebration of Lady Tiffany who will be celebrating her 28th birthday tomorrow. To start off the festivities we spent the past weekend in Napa, where we didn’t drink this entire cellar of wine, but at times it felt like it. We cruised around the Silverado Trail, stopping at eight different wineries and tasting more than 30 different wines. With purple teeth and foggy heads we also managed to find our way to amazing dinners at Michelin rated Bistro Jeanty and Thomas Keller’s Bouchon. We also snuck out to Downtown Joe’s microbrew to watch the Tar Heels advance to the Final Four (where I will be next week).              The celebration continued last night with an appearance by Alex Fong at the Lightrail Lounge and carries on through this weekend when one and only Heather Pease makes her way into town. -cmg
