Interesting Projects
CoTeSys - investigates cognition for technical systems such as vehicles, robots, and factories. (DFG Cluster of Excellence “Cognition for Technical Systems – CoTeSys”) Technical University Munich (TUM), Munich, Germany.
ICORP Computational Brain Project - aim to study the mechanisms of human motor skill, information processing and cognitive abilities through computational brain modeling. Evaluation and verification will be through implementation of these computational mechanisms on simulations as well as robotic systems. (JST, Japan)
i-1 - is a multi-functional high performance humanoid robot, capable of seeing with its stereo cameras, hearing with its stereo microphones, it has 50 degrees of freedom. (NICT, Japan)
RobotCub - goal is to study cognition through the implementation of a humanoid robot the size of a 2 year old child: the iCub. (EU)
iTalk - aims to develop artificial embodied agents able to acquire complex behavioural, cognitive, and linguistic skills through individual and social learning. (EU)
Paco-Plus - brings together an interdisciplinary research team to design and build cognitive robots capable of developing perceptual, behavioural and cognitive categories that can be used, communicated and shared with other humans and artificial agents. (EU)
