In Jody and Michael's studio on Thomas Lake near Two Harbors, Minn., Jody works with a variety of recycled glass, kilns, and a sandblaster to create one-of-a-kind glass earrings.   The kiln-fired glass retains the shiny surface and the curved pieces of tumbled glass are etched to a beach-glass texture. The individual pieces are then matched in pairs and fitted with hypoallergenic surgical steel ear wires.   Her primary marketing is wholesale, selling to galleries and gift shops throughout the United States.   Jody and Michael are pleased to open their home, new studio and showroom to everyone during the Crossing Borders Studio Tour.   Their casual setting allows them to show you how their glass is designed and produced and to converse about their lives as craftspeople and the inspirations behind their work.
