It was the Timbers home opener, plus Timber Jim’s retirement (hence, the free Timber Jim t-shirts). Timber Jim, a real lumberjack, is like a mascot, more of a beloved icon, that has been with the team since 1978. He revs up the crowd with his chainsaw and antics.
