The one well-known viewing site on Barnaof Island is at Lake Eva -- on the opposite side of the island from Sitka -- original capital of Alaska, starting with Russian occupation in the 1800’s.  Eva Lake is normally reached by bush plane flight from Sitka or Juneau.  However, access by boat from Angoon may be a possibility.
