12 Miles . . . .

The Broughton to Salisbury Walk is approximately 12 miles and might be more suitable for children or those who want to be involved, but for whom the 26-mile walk might not be appropriate. Here’s the County Council leaflet on the Walk (which includes a map).
The starting point for this walk, Broughton, is more or less half way between Winchester Cathedral and Salisbury Cathedral. This walk starts between 12:00 – 1:30pm at Broughton, the idea being that one (children, parents or friends) can join in with the rest of the walkers on to Salisbury Cathedral.
Please either arrange to be picked up in Salisbury between 3.00 - 7.30pm or book on your registration form to go back to Broughton on one of the buses. The buses leave Salisbury hourly. The cost is £5.

Check in: from 12:00 am Check in to receive map. Pledge cards/sponsorship money envelopes can be handed in from 12:00.

START POINT: Broughton, Hampshire
Directions to Broughton:
Road: From Stockbridge go towards Salisbury on A30. After 2 miles take left turn to Broughton.

END POINT: The Rifles Museum (The Wardrobe), The Close, City Centre, Salisbury
Directions to Salisbury Cathedral:
Rail: Regular services to London Waterloo taking only 90 minutes with a 10 minute walk to the Cathedral.

Drink/Food: Please bring your own water supply unless it is later specified that water is available from sponsors. You can pre-order a lunch bag which you collect in Broughton. The cost is £5. Please pre-order this on your registration form.
Once on the walk, please be sure to keep all litter with you as there are no bins in the countryside!
