THE WEEKLY

MESSAGE

Friday, November 6, 2009

This Sunday we celebrate the 23rd Sunday after Pentecost. The appointed readings may be found here. We are using the second suggested Old Testament reading and Psalm.

The Men’s Group meets on Tuesday, November 10 at 6:00 pm for food and fellowship. All men are welcome.

Operation Christmas Child is back. To read more about how you can participate in this important ministry, pick up a form in the back of the church and fill up your shoebox for a deserving child. Shoeboxes are due in the office by November 17.

2010 Church Calendars are now available in the Wheeler Room and church office for a suggested donation of $2. Hang one in your home or office to track major church dates.

Need a little spiritual pick-me-up between Sundays? Want a little quiet time with God and a few friends mid-week? Missed Sunday Eucharist (or just crave a bit more)? Need healing prayers for yourself or a loved one? These are just a few of the excellent reasons to join us for Holy Eucharist each Wednesday at 12:05 pm. In less time than it takes to eat at a restaurant, come to God's Table instead to be filled with Word and Sacrament. All are welcome.

A Thanksgiving Day service will be celebrated at Saint Mary’s on Thursday, November 26 at 10:00 am. Come share in a simple service in which we will gather to offer our thanks for all the blessings of our life and country.

Is There a Calendar of Events? Yes -- the online calendar for Saint Mary's is available here.
