Further Information about Life & Enterprise Leadership (LEL)
Thank you for your interest in our Life & Enterprise Leadership Coaching program.
Let me offer you some key points about the program.
(1) It is not only a personal development program for all employees and partners, it is a fundamental element in our Value Growth Model for organisations. LEL was always designed to help companies grow through having a major impact on the performance and life of individuals, and implementing systems inside an organisation that drive higher performance, not hinder it.
(2) The personal development component can be delivered as a 3-day mid week event (LEL Part 1) or 2.5-day weekend event.
Interestingly enough, most people who attend the event without partners wish they had come when it is concluded.

--------------------- COMMONLY ASKED QUESTIONS ---------------------
Q: What type of company benefits best from this program?
The program is very progressive and entirely focused on growth. A company in survival mode is not the company that should do this as the mindset of ‘growth’ and the psychology of ‘survival’ are mostly in conflict with one another.
If you are looking for short-term cost savings, we recommend you pursue another strategy to get those immediate savings, then implement this as a growth strategy.
Q: Why do we need to do LEL Part 1 to begin the LEL implementation process?
To implement a system at work that is fundamentally focused on proactively working to get results that are not driven by immediate demands or closing deadlines requires a shift in thinking first.
Unless participants have a mindset and system of planning that makes them more effective in the personal and professional aspects of their own life, the mindset behind the business system will be in conflict with the unconscious behaviour of participants.
The effect of this phenomenon is being experienced by the high percentage of companies struggling with business improvement and growth initiatives today.
Q: What if we don’t do LEL Part 1 at the start of the process?
Participants will generally fall back to outdated ‘time and task management’ mechanisms. Accordingly there is greater likelihood that the reactive mindset remains, short-term demands and deadlines impact day-to-day work and the potential benefits offered by the entire system are not realised as a company and at a personal level. In effect, the interdependence of life at work and life at home is ignored.
Q: How big a gap can we have between doing LEL Part 1 and LEL business workshops?
We recommend that the gap is no longer than 1 month, but preferably over the course of a two-week period with a single weekend in between. We don’t want it so long that those involved start to dilute the new process of planning with the old or traditional process of team meetings and conversation.
Nor do we want it so short that we no have time to let what is learnt in LPL / LEW sink in. One cycle of personal planning is ideal.
Q: Who Should Attend LEL Part 1 and LEL workshops?
Our best results occur when the implementation begins at the CEO level. Much of the time compression experienced in companies unwittingly comes from the top of the company, so the process of time expansion and planning covered works best when the head of an organisation also takes the process onboard personally.
Our best results from LEL Part 1 seminars occurs when both husbands and wives attend the events. This program can have a tremendously positive impact on relationships and health as a consequence.
Q: What resources do we need to do LEL Part 1 Seminars?
This seminar can be delivered to any number of people - literally. It can be anything from 50 to 2,000 people. The nature of the program is such that larger groups tend to create a better atmosphere and personal change can occur more rapidly.
Accordingly a conference facility that accommodates the seating and catering needs of the group, and the audio-visual needs for effective delivery will be necessary. Our public seminars are usually delivered in convention centres; many of our in-house seminars are delivered in large conference facilities. In any case, venue & event management should be handled by Soarent Vision staff.
Q: What resources do we need to do the LEL workshops?
As these are essentially a workshop, it involves presentations, breakout work by teams and the collation of output in written form. Accordingly, resources required include these.
•A Venue that accommodates the workshop – including breakouts
•Some consumables such as masking tape, pens, flipcharts, markers etc
Soarent Vision provides reference materials and templates as required, and a comprehensive resource list to assist with preparation and venue layout.
Q: Why don’t we do this in-house at the plant or the office?
Our preference is to undertake this off-site for a number of important reasons.
•Less interruptions from day-to-day operations
•Less chance of people being called away
•When the mind of participants is on work, they are not focused which means it will be very difficult to make a real mental shift – participation in the whole process is vital to success
Q: Who does the delivery or facilitation?
As the originator and content expert of the 3-day LEL Part 1 seminar, these events are only delivered by George Lee Sye. The purposes are twofold – (a) to maintain the best standard of delivery that we possibly can; (b) ensure absolute congruency between the speaker and content being taught; and (c) have the maximum positive impact on participants’ thinking through effective and deliberate high performance coaching.
The LEL workshops are facilitated by George or Soarent Vision’s small number of Senior Partners.
Q: Why do we follow up the LEL Part 2 workshops with a momentum session?
In essence, the full LEL program results in quite rapid cultural change, or in other words a change in thinking and behaviour patterns at home and at work.
It is so easy for participants to get caught up in old patterns once they leave, and fall back to that which is comfortable. Momentum sessions are conducted for a number of reasons:
•To reinforce any key points forgotten since first introduction
•To force the application of the system and enhance the learning process
•Assess the application of the process and make adjustments where necessary
•Assess results being achieved / improvements experienced
•Define specific inputs relevant to the development of the second quarter performance plan
Q: Does the program include personal or one-on-one coaching?
We do offer George’s services (as well other LEL coaches) for this type of coaching over a 12-month contracted arrangement only. It can be taken up by any person, though it is mostly commonly sought by business leaders. Having said that, George never pushes any individual away who asks for support in dealing with some personal issue.
Q: How do I arrange to have LEL Part 1 or the entire program delivered in our company?
