Problems problems problems
Do you ever find yourself reacting in anger or frustration, or even sadness or depression when something you perceive to be negative happens to you? Come on, of course you do. Maybe not all of the time but it’s something most of us do all too frequently wouldn’t you agree?
Problems always come at us at the most inconvenient time. And the faster the world seems to move, the more frequently they arrive.
Well I have an interesting idea for you.
Problems are only problems in our minds, and as long as we allow them to reside there, we will spend a lifetime allowing events to control the quality of our lives.
An event as simple as a flat tyre reveals the conditioned patterns of behaviour of the driver. If they react to the flat tyre in a negative way and get stressed about it, even though that behaviour contributes nothing more to the situation other than to cause emotional pain for the person, they are revealing the subconsciously conditioned behaviour that will permeate many other aspects of their lives.
•Will it affect their relationships? Absolutely.
•Will it impact their performance at work? No doubt.
•Will it affect the way they conditioned the mindset and set their kids up for their adult life? Nothing is surer.
If you want to take control of your life, first take control of your mind. And one of the starting points is in how you respond to unplanned events that sneak up on you and give you the opportunity to develop totally empowering patterns of response.
