One of the significant features of Magdalene Catholic High School is its use of technology for learning.  Students live in a digital world and why should the way we teach and they learn be any different?  Information and communication technology is viewed as extremely important at Magdalene.  We have four computing labs, access to both PC and MAC platforms in the school; every classroom contains a multi-media cube which provides access to computer demonstrations, the Internet, online learning materials, videos, DVDs, CDs, radio, live television and interactive multi-media.

From 2008, every Year 7 student enrolling at Magdalene will start with an Apple Macbook computer. This 1:1 learning and teaching program promises to be very exciting and will provide students with 24/7 access to learning technology tools. Students will be permitted to take the notebook home and will be able to link in with a whole range of online learning packages which have been developed by Magdalene staff.  In fact, students will be able to access CE-Net; which is a state of the art educational computer network linking more than 400 schools across Australia and was founded by the Diocese of Wollongong. CE-Net provides every student with their own email account and Internet web space and a wide range of learning materials.

The school website also provides parents with access to details on what is happening at school, including downloadable permission notes, teacher contact details and school newsletters.  It is a whole package which is available to you, our parents to promote good communication.
