Paso Robles

OK. It is true that we’ve been working on this album for 4 years. It seemed like it would be born rather quickly, because half of the music arrived all at once. But some of the other tunes were not quite ready. Tommy insists that time is non-linear, and that these later songs are hooking up with a different place in the Cosmos. He was calm about it. I have been the impatient one. But Tommy was right. A year ago, Tommy was reunited with an old friend, Dan Bradley. Dan managed many of Lee Greenwood’s enterprises for years, but the best thing about Dan is that he is an amazing lyricist. As a team, Tommy and Dan are downright magical.

The title song from the album was written on the drive home from our first trip to Paso Robles. It was a little getaway for Tommy’s birthday. We drove to California with no exact destination in mind and found ourselves in Paso Robles. We didn’t want to leave. In truth, we never have.
