Baskets That Build

We are a Non-Profit Organization committed to providing school supplies to New Orleans school children in grades K-6.  As more families commit to returning home to New Orleans in the 2007-2008 school year, we know how important it is to ensure that children in the New Orleans area have confidence in returning to school.  Our goal is to provide as many children as possible with pre made baskets filled with essential school supplies such as pencils, paper, colored pencils, crayons and glue to name a few.  Please donate a pre made basket, created by Baskets That Build founder Virginia Baker, a graduate of the Jefferson Parish Public School System and The University of New Orleans, or donate funds to Baskets That Build so that supplies can  be purchased.  You can help rebuild New Orleans and its future.
