women’s wellness retreat

A whole new relationship with your home - and your self

Join us for a wonderful weekend, experience a deep sense of community with other women, take inspiration from the outstanding natural beauty of the Yorkshire Dales and use the energy of Gina’s Healthy Home to revive and rejuvenate yourself.  It has taken Gina a decade to create this special and sacred environment. Come and let it work its magic on you.

It’s very hard for the retreat graduates to pick a favourite section of the weekend. Some like the opportunity to chat while others relish our periods of quiet and meditation but the feng shui workshop seems to fascinate everyone and of course the food is always a big hit.

“The meals were delicious, amazing and brilliant” says Sara Duxbury while Pamela shared “You have really expanded my thoughts on additional healthy foods to prepare.”  The idea of hosting a retreat just for women came from the recognition that women have a tendency to put others first (both at home and at work).  It is really important that we take some ME time now and again to restore our energy and to reconnect with who we are beyond the roles we play out for others. Nicky Harper says the retreat really fed her at a soul level, “It was a real blessing to be in the Healthy Home. I was so inspired by Gina’s Wholefood kitchen that I went back on the next retreat to help in the kitchen! It was great fun.

Jane Oakes believed the setting added a great deal to the event, “It felt like the perfect place to hear your inner voice. I became very aware of my own self which I think is a very empowering thing for women to do. I realised that I don’t have to be all things to all people. I can just be myself”.

That is a huge distinction to make as we can get lost in our juggling acts and fulfilling all the roles we think society and family expect of us. It’s time to be kind to ourselves!   All the women have absolutely loved spending time with each other. As Rosemary says, “I felt very close to everyone and no expectations were placed on me. I left with a renewed confidence in myself and my destiny, and a lot more certain about our family business. Since that weekend I have taken giant steps.

Caroline felt the whole experience was “a great eye-opener to who I am and what I want. It was great to meet others in similar situations.”

Everyone lives in some kind of home and many have forgotten the important role it plays in our lives. As Carolyn Edge says, “the information about the Healthy Home is very interesting and useful and not easily accessible elsewhere”. Liz Bradbury, in common with many participants, went home and made many changes to the way she lived, saying “ I have applied many of the principles of having my home as a sanctuary.”

The modern home has really changed and few people fully realise the impact that environmental toxins are having on the health and energy levels of themselves and their children. The wireless internet and digital revolutions with their disturbing electromagnetic energy fields (as well their obviously wonderful convenience) are something that we must understand better from a health perspective if we are to protect our well-being.

Join us on this next Wellness Retreat and find out what you can do to create a more nourishing lifestyle and healthier home for your loved ones.
