Founded in 2007, the NHS Arts Education Foundation is a community initiative dedicated to ensuring excellence in arts education by identifying, creating, and supporting programs that enrich learning, foster student achievement, and increase community involvement.

Northwood High School in Pittsboro, NC is currently undergoing its first major renovation in the school’s 30-year history. When completed in the fall of 2009, the Arts Education Department will be consolidated in a new, expanded arts wing. Plans are underway for a gala season to celebrate this wonderful new space.

NHSAEF is an all-volunteer organization. We are eager for parents, community and business members to join us. Share your time, talents, ideas, and expertise as we work to support the arts education program, assist faculty, expand opportunities for students, provide resources, and promote collaboration with area artists and organizations.

NHSAEF is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. Your tax deductible gifts fund college scholarships for young artists in our community and support the ongoing work of the NHS arts education program.
