Gillispie Fourth Grade

This year, we are fortunate enough to have two Fourth Grade classrooms at Gillispie (4E, for Edwards, and 4B, for Buttaro).  Not only does this give us a wonderful 16 students per room, but also two experienced teachers to plan and implement a great curriculum for your children.

While each room is very much a reflection of the alchemy between the 17 individuals that spend most of their school days there, the programs in both adhere to the same high standards, use the same texts and resources, remain firmly in step on programs including Spelling and Vocabulary, and share the same longer term pacing strategies in Social Studies, Math, Reading and Writing.

Mrs. Buttaro and I meet often to stay up-to-date on the progress of each other’s class and are working hard to provide weekly opportunities for the entire grade to meet together in different contexts and for various purposes.
