Appeasement

This podcast focuses on the policy of appeasement carried out by the British during the 1930s. It asks why appeasement was considered to be a sensible option and why it has also been severely criticised. We focus on the Munich Agreement of 1938 as the pinnacle of this policy and then consider the reasons why it was abandoned in favour of a tougher approach in 1939.
