Monty was our introduction into the amazing world of Rottweilers. He wanted nothing more than to please us, and be told what a good boy he was in return. He was loyal and smart and wonderful.
Monty received his CD with all high scores - even winning highest scoring dog in an All Breed Obedience Trial the day he completed his title - it was over 90 degrees outside!
Unfortunately, Monty was diagnosed with Neuroaxonal Dysprophy when he was just over two years of age - as well as Vitiligo soon after. NAD affects the Neurological system, and shoots incorrect signals to the limbs from the brain - so by the end of his almost 9 year life (quite long with this condition!) he had a difficult time walking on any slippery surface, and even getting up. In turn, the Vitiligo, a pigment loss disorder said to be associated with the bad immune system, only made him look white around his face, but did nothing health wise.
Monty is missed for his truly unconditional love, his silly ways, his adoration of us, his loyalty to all his family - and most of all, for his sheer joy of just being alive.
