I have been using cryotherapy of the prostate more in my practice. For the patient population that is suited for this therapy it is a great option. We are achieving great continence rates and moderate success on potency rates. Although it is too early to tell, if this trend continues I should meet some of the national data for this therapy.
The COLD (Cryotherapy Online Database) database is a physician driven website that tracts outcomes from this procedure. I posted 2 articles regarding this database. The first document attached is from this month’s issue of “Renal & Urology News”, the cover of this magazine contained an article on the COLD Registry as well as the data that was presented at last years Society of Urologic Oncology’s (SUO) annual meeting.
The second attachment is the National COLD Registry Data. This includes the data from all of the physicians in the COLD Registry as of October, 2006. The data for the primary and salvage also reflects the data that was accepted as an abstract in this years AUA.
