We are two Master of Urban and Regional Planning (MURP) students at Portland State University who are about to embark on a timely journey. On June 30th, we set off, traveling throughout Oregon by bicycle to engage in conversation with citizens about community, land use and Measure 37. We documented stories to explore the relationship between people and the land, citizens and their communities and the role that the public plays, or ought to play, in guiding growth and change in the places where they live. It was 35-days of slow planning to better understand the common ground Oregonians share to help guide the future growth of our state.
