About Us
A community for exploring
Christian spirituality at Georgetown
About Chi Alpha Christian Fellowship
We are a student movement on universities throughout the U.S. and the world. We seek to help fellow students experience authentic relationship with Jesus Christ and explore Christian spirituality.
Our gatherings are informal, given to humor, multicultural, and deal with everything from relationships to the nature of truth. The goal of these gatherings is to meet with God, meet among friends, and meet real needs.
The Chi Alpha Name
Despite our name, we’re not a fraternity or a sorority. It comes from 2 Corinthians 5:20 “We are therefore Christ’s (Chi) Ambassadors (Alpha).” We often abbreviate our name as XA.
What We Do
We have a weekly worship services on campus called “Midweek”. We have small groups led by students called “Life Groups” throughout the week. We also have retreats, theology & leadership classes, international student events, community service projects, prayer meetings, parties and more!
Our Staff
Much of what happens in Chi Alpha is led by students, however, our ministry has full time directors, Jon & Jenny Rice, and an international student minister, Karen Keyser. Our staff’s job is serving students to see them reach their full potential.
How do I get involved?
Just show up to one of our weekly events! Email Jon Rice to find out the current places/times.
