I have grown tropical plants since I was a child but for the last 25 years or so have specialised in the fascinating family of plants: the Araceae, commonly known as Aroids. These include such well known plants as the Arum lily, Calla lilies, Anthuriums, the Swiss Cheese plant and many others. An enormous group of plants they grow in all parts of the world from deserts to the tropical rainforests and many make ideal house plants. Their colours, leaf shapes and flowers are diverse and often bizarre but always interesting. The photo album below gives some examples of the many plants that I grow. I specialise in plants of the genus Anthurium and Amorphophallus and I have probably the largest collection of species (60+) of the latter in the country. Amorphophallus includes the famous (or infamous!) Titan Arum Amorphophallus titanum which produce one of the largest (and smelliest....)  inflorescences in the plant world.
