Sunday Sail

It is always great to get away from the dock.  It always amazes me how much different it is being on a boat and being on a boat in the middle of the lake.

Sunday was no different.  The weather was rainy and calm when people started to gather.  I was worried about building winds and inexperienced crew. So i changed the headsail from the 150% to the 120%.  We had a great time sailing and as it turns out we didn’t need to worry about the building wind it topped out around 13 knots or so.

After sailing we took down the head sail and had a great dinner.  After dinner we kicked on the fire place and enjoyed a couple beers.  It was great.... except for one detail... As i was saying good bye to everyone i noticed that the headsail was a little to close to the chimney... I melted a whole in the headsail.  This really pissed me off!  It was my nicest sail.. oh well... it can always be fixed.
