The NEW Coppertone Kid!
(a flashback to our trip home in April/May)

The boys are beach bums in training.
We sure hope they grow to love the ocean
as much as we do! I think we went to the
beach at LEAST 20 times while at Nanny &
Poppy’s house the first 10 days of our trip.
While in Ocala they got to swim in the
pool with their cousins and splash in Rainbow
Springs. Then on to G’ma & G’pa Rhineharts
where another new pool, the ocean and the
bay welcomed many chances to don sunblock
and have fun. Gavin decided he enjoyed
swimming in the buff. He also enjoyed many
rides on Uncle Jay’s boat. I will be very, very
surprised if he doesn’t take up fishing later
on - between Poppy and Uncle Jay he is
bound to be a great fisherman!

“WHHHAAAAAATTTT!!!!????” Was his reply to “we are just here to look at the beach and the birds. We aren’t swimming now.” Needless to say from the picture Gavin was really bent out of shape when we walked to “look” at the beach and didn’t go to swim!
Gavin was interested in fishing without any hesitation. He loves to inspect the fish and be our interpreter. Here he is telling me...”dis is a pomerno”. He learned to identify about 5 fish on our trip. This day Poppy brought home a Pompano, Whiting and a Drum. We ate so much fresh fish on our visit! YUMMMMMM!
Poppy had all the kids building away. We had fun with all the sand toys, boogie boards, seaweed, and friends! Gavin misses “Pops beach”.
We’ll pick up from here on our next entry............still more beach fun to share!
We’ve all been there.....sand occupying more space in your suit than you. Gavin was very unhappy about the situation and decided buff was  better. After finally cutting the liner out of his swimtrunks he decided to keep them pulled up!
