There are now several video and TV clips available at Gene Bogart’s YouTube page -- including clips shot aboard the “Happy Dream Cruise” to the Caribbean. (This was the video recording from which we pulled the audio to comprise Podcasts 27 and 28.) It’s a lot of fun to actually “see” us all in action! Plus, there are several other videos there, too, including Gene’s now-famous “Bandito” TV commercial. More clips will be added as we progress. Connect with them here:
Our friend Steven (from the yahoo DU discussion group) is apparently a man of many unrecognized talents.... and obviously, too much free time on his hands! But it’s been time well spent, as he has put together “spoofs” of our podcasts, where he really skewers Gary and Gene... but it’s in good fun (we think!), and honestly so dang funny, we couldn’t resist putting links to them right here at Forgiveness.tv - Check ‘em out!
3rd SPOOF! - Hey, he’s done it again... mad, guilty Steven has put together yet another hilarious spoof! This time, “Spoof-Gary” surprises “Spoof-Gene” (you won’t believe where this takes place), and then they both end up on the now-famous “hobo train” with Boots.... well, it gets kinda complicated. But let’s just say that the ending of this piece of satire takes everybody on a rather transcendent experience. We’re sure you’ll agree! Check out this 3rd terrific spoof of our podcasts here:
NEW 4th SPOOF! - This one picks up right where the 3rd one left off (you knew there had to be a sequel, right..?) Spoof creator Steven is guiltier than ever... of putting together even more hilarity! A certain Mr. ET makes more than a cameo appearance, and Boots is there, too...
It’s a veritable magical kingdom of illusory madness. Hear it, here:
OK, this one is not exactly a spoof... it’s our buddy Mikey (from the yahoo DU group) doing his “impersonation” of Gary. You’ll see what we mean! Pretty funny... and check out the homage to podcast episode #31 right at the end of this clip. (1 min, 26 sec)
Who knew that, in addition to producing podcasts, channelling the voice of Arten, and playing his Rickenbacker 12-string... that Gene was also a talented thespian; a character actor of great comedic abilities? Well, here’s the evidence: a TV commercial from a few years back, where our Mr. Bogart plays a “Treasure of Sierra Madre”-style bandito, who is looking for some tasty food, and not any steenkeeng badges.......
Click on “Mexico Cruise” above (or, Arriba below), and find out more about Gary’s upcoming 2010 cruise to Mexico. Plus, see a muy bueno picture of Bandito Gene! (Also, 2 quick pics of Helen and Cindy.)
