Geeta paints with watercolors and oil paints and her favorite subjects are nature and architecture. She is fascinated by the subtle changes in light and how they affect the subject. The challenge is to transfer this on to her paper or canvas.

She has drawn and painted since she was a child in India, using pencils, oils and watercolors. Over the years she has taken lessons in watercolor, oils, and holds certificates in Watercolor and Oil Painting, Commercial art and later in Graphic Design on the Mac.

Even while pursuing a career in librarianship, she has nurtured her love of painting. But since 2003 she has been painting intensively in watercolors.

Geeta is a member of PAAR (Plein Air Artists of Riverside), which is affiliated to the Riverside Art Museum. She paints on location with PAAR. She is an Associate Member of the National Watercolor Society, a member of the Fine Art Institute of San Bernardino and the Riverside Community Art Association.
