The showcase event in the Geelong wine region calendar, this year’s wine show welcomes back Australian and international wine icon James Halliday as Chief Judge, with fellow judges Ben Edwards and David Bicknell.

We also welcome back our loyal and generous sponsors from previous years: Williams & Jackson, Kauri NZ, Vinvicta Products, Plastic Plumbing and Irrigation Supplies, Mikasa Oenonlogy Glassware, The Four Points by Sheraton Geelong and Meredith Dairy. Harwood Andrews Lawyers joins the wine show as a new sponsor this year. We wish to thank our judges, sponsors and Geelong Region wine producers, who together make the Geelong Wine Show one of the standout regional wine shows in Australia.

Given that the recently released 2008 Australian Wine Companion rated a record number of wineries in the region as 5-star producers, we expect the wines entered in the 2007 Geelong Wine Show to be of very high standard.

The gala event of the Geelong Wine Show, the Awards Presentation Dinner, is open to wine industry and the public. Changes from last year

1. Wines must be finished, bottled wines, but do not have to be commercially
    labelled.

2. There will be a sparkling class.

3. A selection of entries will be audited (stock on hand & chemical analysis of
     both entered wine and wine stock on hand).

4. Entries close 28th September.

5. Wine entries to be delivered between 8th and 12th October only
     [see entry form for full entry and wine delivery requirements].

6. There will be no public preview tasting this year. There is an exhibitors’
    tasting Friday 19th October 3-4pm

7. There is an earlybird discount for Awards Presentation Dinner tickets
    purchased before the 28th September.
