On November 15th 2006, Gunther Deichmann launched his book "Journey Through Colour and Time": A representation of his photography over 30 years, a 360 page hard-bound coffee table book. Showing mostly unpublished and his personal favorite images from more than 20 countries.

A multi-awarded Australian photographer, presently based in Manila, Philippines, from where he covers Southeast Asia and the Pacific as a photojournalist.  His unique style of work has given him worldwide recognition through exposure in magazines such as Stern, German Geo, Animan (Switzerland), VSD (France), Grand Reportage (France), French Geo, Time Magazine (cover) and National Geographic, among many others.  He has published twelve books including Northern Images and Australian Natural Wonders and contributed to countless others.  His photographs have appeared on many musical album covers including Midnight Oil’s “Blue Sky Mining”.  In 1996, he published his limited edition book “Images” a retrospective of his work from 1976-1996. 

He is the Creative Director of Dream Time a Publishing and Advertising Company based in Manila specializing in marine and environment subjects, Gunther is also an Apple Certified Trainer for Aperture and runs a series of Photo Workshops through out Asia and the Pacific.
