G•City Films is a film and video production company that concentrates on developing and producing feature-length films, documentary films, commercials, and television programs which are Christ-centered.   G•City Films chooses to present comedic films, dramatic films, and compelling documentaries that highlight the experiences of youth and young adults throughout America.  

 

As a ministry, G•City Films is passionate about presenting films which encourage young people and show them there is hope in life.  Through stories, whether real or imagined, G•City Films seeks to break down barriers and present the gospel of Jesus Christ in a multi-ethnic and multi-faceted manner.

 

Although targeted to reach those between the ages of 14 and 29 in the major metropolises of America, G•City Films’ projects will speak to all ages and walks of life.  The stories of hope and overcoming will speak directly to the human spirit.

 

 

Joseph Dominick Martinez has worked as an Actor, Producer, Writer and Director in Film, Television and Theater in the entertainment industry for over fourteen years with such notables as Spike Lee, Danny Glover, Danny Aiello and John Leguizamo.  Joseph is a graduate of NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts Undergraduate Drama program.  While running his own company Bahia Productions, he acquired an Executive Masters of Business Administration in Media Management at the Metropolitan College of New York.

 

Mr. Martinez began his work in ministry by playing the lead in the 1997 theatrical play Run, Baby, Run, the life story of the Evangelist Nicky Cruz.  Over the past ten years, Joseph has worked as a producer, editor, actor and director for such projects as: concert videotape collections of Rap Fest 2001 and Rap Fest 2002, the soon to be released movie 1Ne, and the documentary The G. Squad.

    

Mr. Martinez lives in New York City and presently attends the Glory of Christ Church in the Bronx, NY.
