A few weeks ago, we dedicated our new medical clinic. We started construction on this building in August of 2007. It took us over a year to complete. On the outside, it looks very similar to the 6 houses that we have built. But inside, it is a totally different building. The first floor is very complex with a surgical room, 2 private exam rooms, a pharmacy, recovery room and dental office. The third floor is 3 individual apartments that we can have to house short-term medical staff.

The weekend that we dedicated the clinic we had a medical team here to visit. It was the first of many more to come that will be able to serve from this first class facility. We are blessed to have a facility like this. Our desire is to develop records for each of the 500 plus children we serve, so that we can better meet their health needs. In the past, we have only been able to treat problems when they come up. We believe the addition of the medical clinic will make a huge difference in the way we will be able to minister to these children. Stay tuned for more great news from the medical clinic in 2009!
