I asked Betty if she wanted to write a few words and she said “certainly!”  The following is what she wrote:

 

Dios los bendiga a todos ustedes que hacen posible el que yo venga  a  Mexico a servir  a Dios. Quiero agradecerles de todo mi corazon su apoyo que me brindan  ya que es para mi de mucho gozo trabajar, para ayudar que muchos ninos tengan un poco de bien estar, compania amor  y felicidad. En las casas Hogares trabajamos para que exista mejores condiciones de vida para tantos ninos que no tienen familia y ninos que sus padres no los pueden atender y que solo los ven de vez en cuando.                              

En comunidades como rio1 se les brindan. a las familias con apoyos materiales como ropa para protegerse del frio, zapatos ya que  en ocaciones los ninos estan descalsos o con zapatos rotos, tambien se les da alimento, despensa etc. Pero sobretodo se les habla de la espernza que  tenemos en DIOS que no estan solos y que existen personas que viven muy lejos pero que  ayudan en esta causa como ustedes. En casas Hogares se les ayuda tambien a reparar cuartos,pintarlos, asi tambien como en la construccion si asi lo requiern de banos para los ninos. tambien a poner piso de concreto  en algunos lugares .En Casa Hogar Duglas tenemos un taller de carpinteria  donde  junto con algunos ninos  hacemos mesas  que les sirven para comer o biem hacer su tarea., almismo tiempo ellos aprenden un oficio que les sirva para un futuro.                                          Quisiera poder explicarles mejor la labor que hacemos en Back2Back  la labor tan humilde y  que nos deja una satisfaccion personal tan grande en la mirada feliz de un nino en su sonrisa en su abrazo , al ver su alegria al decir gracias muchas gracias.                              

Oro a DIOS por ustedes para que El les siga bendiciendo cada dia mas Espiritual, fisica y materialmente y a toda su familia, para que un dia no muy lejano puedan estar conmigo contemplando  las bendiciones de Dios sobre la vida no solo de tantos ninos y adultos sino tambien de todos  los que trabajamos en este ministerio tan hermoso.

God bless all of you who make it possible for us to serve God here in Mexico. I thank you with all my heart for your support that makes it possible for us to do this work we love so much to help many children have a little better life with love and happiness. We work in the children’s homes to improve the living conditions of many children who do not have a family or whose family is unable to take care of them.

In communities like the Rio, we bring the families things to help improve their basic living conditions. We give them clothes to keep them warm from the cold. We offer the children shoes because many times they are barefoot or have very worn out shoes. At times we bring simple meals to feed the people there. But primarily we want to let them know of the hope that we have in God and that they are not alone. That there are people like you who live far away but that want to help them. In the children’s homes we are repairing and painting bedrooms and bathrooms. In Casa Hogar Douglas we have a woodshop where the children learn to make picnic tables. They use the tables to serve food on and do their homework. At the same time, they are learning skils to use in the future.

I wanted to be able to explain to you the work that we do at Back2Back. A very simple work, that gives us a great satisfaction, when we look at a happy face of a child, or see his smile or feel his hug. It is with great pleasure I say “thank you very much!”

I pray to God for all of you. That each day He blesses you and your family, spiritually as well as physically and materially. And that one day soon, you will be able to be with me witnessing the blessings of God for the children and adults we work with in this beautiful ministry.
