Gail teaches Chinese Painting art classes at Chastain Art Center in Atlanta, 404 252-2927, gives demonstrations on request and is available for workshops throughout the country.
In addition to painting on rice paper, she is now also applying these techniques to stretched silk using dye and dabbliing in mixed media.
Gail’s work is on continuous exhibit at Atlanta Botanical Gardens and Chastain Art Center.

About Chinese painting
Chinese painting is an ancient art based on calligraphy strokes. When painting, the brush is held like a baton allowing for more flexibility. Most strokes are accomplished with the movement coming from the shoulder. This requires that the mind and body work as one thus quieting the mind and resulting in an active meditation.
