Exchange #36 Spoiler

Here is my completed print for Baren’s  Exchange #36.  I just finished an edition of 40 this afternoon and thought I’d better take a photo of the last one before removing it from the registration board.  The title is Two C-130’s and a Crow and was inspired by a particular crow I saw after the last snow we had in March.   We live far enough from any large city that airplanes are usually not heard, and are barely seen as they fly so high they seem to be nothing more than a silver thread catching the sunlight.  However, once in a while we are taken by surprise when a military training base about 50 miles southeast of here sends out, in pairs, large cargo planes flying low in the sky.  We don’t hear them until they are nearly over us.  They make a deep rumbling vibration.    Something that dark and mysterious it seems the crows would notice.  For me this image is more than it's content -- it's a metaphor.  But then, I write poems, and in the right mood, I see everything as a metaphor.
