Award-winning photographer G-nie Arambulo started her career as an art director for a local agency before joining Adphoto. Now one of the top advertising photographers in the Philippines, she is known for her technical mastery of lighting and creative vision.
Since 2002, G-nie has been the only Filipino member of the Master Photographers Association (MPA), a British organization of the world’s elite photographers with membership by a demanding nomination process of industry peers. In 2003, she won an award of excellence from the organization in the Classical Portraiture category.
Versatility is an oft-heard adjective when used to describe G-nie’s work. Her food photos make billboards and magazine pages look good enough to eat, with vibrant colors and dramatic textures.
Her stunning images of dancers, epitomized by her 2002 “Dance with Me” exhibit for Ballet Manila, showcase her ability to capture the human form in motion. Her extensively ranged portfolio highlights a wide-range of other subjects as well, including automobiles, special effects, architectural and fashion.
She was interviewed on QTV for an episode called “Women on Top,” Her share of becoming
a top caliber photographer which has aired November,2007.
Her fame is going beyond shores of this country. In 2007, she won the Professional Honorable Mention for Portrait Category for her entry “Marilyn” in the Pilsner Urquell International Photography Awards in London, while February 2008, she undertook an Advertising assignment under Art Source Asia , for Uniliver in Bangkok, Thailand.
