Pastor and Mrs. Weiss, Jon and Esther Weiss ministered in Latvia.  Jon spoke at the main church in Riga, Latvia in their Thursday evening meeting.  He spoke on faith!  It was powerful, and it was just what they needed for the Lord to build upon in the following meetings.  The whole congregation was energized and eager for the coming weekend as Jon laid hands on almost everyone in the building.

 

On Friday the team went to Cesis and ministered to Pastors Armins and Anita through the afternoon.  That night Jon taught the praise and worship team there one of his new songs and they translated it into Latvian so that we all sang the song together during the service.  Pastor Weiss spoke a dynamic message on the necessity of the Holy Spirit in the church today.  He prayed for the pastors and ministered to many for prayer at the close of the service.

 

Saturday morning Pastor Weiss taught at the Bible School in Prieka Vests in Riga on church government.  The morning sessions were back to back for two hours.  That afternoon was spent with Pastor Vilnis and his family at the circus.  In the evening Esther went to minister to the teens and Jon had undistracted time with Walter, the pastor’s son.

 

Sunday at Riga was a very full day!  Pastor Weiss ministered at the morning service.  It was mighty and it resulted in Pastor Vilnis asking the entire church to get on their knees before God and receive the challenging word to reach out and see the thousand fold increase in their church and reach out to surrounding nations.

 

Later that evening Debby Weiss ministered to the ladies at the Ladies’ Meeting.  She spoke of “Going out into the deep water with the Lord” from Ezekiel 47.  The response was wonderful and everyone was prayed for.

 

Monday we enjoyed a luncheon at the church cafe with Pastor Vilnis and Liga his

wife.  The fellowship was spectacular.  Jon and Esther exhorted the teens one

more time that night and set their course for immediate action.  We hear that they

have continued to stay motivated and are experiencing a revival!
