Seat 1G on a Delta Boeing 767-300 is the the first row in Delta’s “Business Elite” and is a window seat. It is also the same seat that I got to sit in for the 9+ hour flight from Atlanta to Santiago. As Jake put it I was right on the knife’s edge as I was #17 on the list with only 17 seats left available in the front of the plane.

I am at Tina & Grischa’s apartment in Santiago right now and they have been most hospitable hosts having given me a place to crash, clean up and settle in to being in Chile. Tina and Grischa are at work and I am really looking forward to meeting them in person and taking them out to dinner later tonight.

Now I am off to explore the area and hopefully figure out a way for Jake, Elaine and I to get to the shuttle that takes us to Valle Nevado on Saturday.
