Driving me right round the bend

What a nightmare I’ve had with my car. Time came to get my insurance, MOT and tax done. So after loads of insurance quotes I got totally shafted by insurance firms. Tesco wanted to charge me over £480 for a year and I ended up paying £313. Wonderful but I did get a quote for £286 by Marks and Spencers and then when I tried to take them up on their wonderful offer then then tried to charge me £330. I will let you imagine what I told them to do with that. Dodgy swines!

Even so I managed to save over £100...yay yay yay. However this was short lived as Alex took a look at my brakes and realised I needed to replace the brake shoes....bugger. There goes £105 ! Thankfully Alex being the gem that he is, he fitted them which saved me oodles. Bless him! Thankfully my brum passed its MOT, so I trundled down to the post office to get my Tax disc. What a bunch of idiots. They wouldn’t give me my tax disc,so I had to drive to the DVLA to go and get it. If I could do without my car I would, so much time and money sometimes! Now I have moved out of the city though I have to have the brum.

I am now off on holiday for two weeks...woohoo. The weather has improved as if like magic as well. Work has started back on the house again. The bedrooms are being plastered and we have started to tile the bathroom. I have discovered that I am a good grouter. What a great title.....Pickle the master grouter. So all being well we will have the bathroom and the bedrooms on their way to being finished by the end of August.

Hope to be going to the Celtic Blue Rock Festival this weekend in Pembrokeshire and off to Shrewsbury Folk fest at the end of the month. Alex has been kept busy the last few weeks with some work near Cambridge, Yorkshire and Cheshire. All busy and all good.
