American Pilgrims in Walsingham
During August 2007, a pilgrim from Saint Bride’s Church, Chesapeake, Virginia (Fr Stephen Powers--ME) and All Saints’ Church, San Diego, California (Fr Tony Noble and TWO vans full of people!) are journeying to the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, in Norfolk, England. Additional stops are Norwich Cathedral & Saint John’s Church, where I will preach on Assumption Sunday http://www.norwichanglocatholic.org/index.shtmland, of course, many Church sites in London. To learn more about the Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, please visit their website at http://www.walsinghamanglican.org.uk/intro.htm
Two years ago when I first went to London and Walsingham, I kept an ongoing e-mail with observations and photos (listed as Travelogue on the parish website-www.stbrideschurch.org). This time I’m using a dedicated website, and will be updating it as I can.
I hope you will join me in prayer that our Pilgrimage will be a time of spiritual refreshment and deepening of our love and devotion to our Lord Jesus and His Blessed Mother.
Of course, if you would rather not receive this or the periodic updates, simply hit the delete button or drop me a line.
Yours faithfully in Christ,
Father R. Stephen Powers, SSC
