Soft Sweet Secrets

This past week has found me back in the studio. . . working  (& completing!) several projects. A few were for the finishing touches for the new book (coming out by the end of December. . . eek!), & not one - but two very special “secret” projects for Holly. . . that you will soon be able to see on her blog. . . town will start arriving tomorrow. So it was time to get all current projects done & get the studio back into shape. It seems like the studio (especially with a bunch of new quilts in it) is a place that everyone seems to want to see. . . sigh. I can’t tell you how much I would love to just close (& lock) the studio door with all my piles of fabrics & half finished planning all over. . . but seeing how my studio is right off the family room. . . & it would look a little strange to have a locked door . . . that isn’t going to happen!
I am looking forward to seeing a lot of the folks coming - but, I must admit that I’m ready for some nice quiet holiday days. . . I’m not sure how much decorating I’ll be doing this year. . . I’m thinking of putting some white lights in a few of the ficus trees in the house tomorrow. . . maybe that will put a subtle little sparkle in the house. . .
If things get a little too busy & crazy in the next few days - I wish for you a wonderful, sweet weekend!

Secret #1
. . . & you can tell that I was sewing into the night. . . I had to have my coffee (regular - no decaf going on here!) as my assistant!. . .  (Pam. . . I so understand the teaming of coffee & quilting!!!!)
Today was filled with cleaning (which I must admit was sometimes was just moving piles of papers & fabrics into ‘less visible’ rooms. We are having a memorial service (or what we are calling a ‘remembering service’) for my Mom this Saturday - & people from out of
