Spring Market has come & gone. . . & boy, was it a doozey!
I’m sure - if you visit a few quilt designer blogs - you have noticed a sudden halt to postings for the past several days. That’s probably because the busy-ness of the days at Market - sap the energy out or you. . . & even those that might have brought their laptops with them. . . didn’t have the time or energy to post! Not that we weren’t thinking of you! . . I heard & said myself - so many times, “Oh! I want to blog about this!”
My problem was that I was quite taken by surprise at how busy things got for me at this market - & when I would get out of the booth for a few minutes - it was usually to run to another booth (visiting folks like Jere’e, Anne or Elizabeth & Pam) & I usually left without taking my camera. I was also taken by surprise - as I sold out of most everything by the end of the first day! (. . . and I know. . . Anne gets to say, “I told you so!”) I was just so anxious about releasing a new book (instead of a group of patterns) & a new block of the month - that I underestimated the number of books to bring. Needless to say. . . I will be busy shipping for the rest of the week! My dear friend (& award winning long arm quilter) Nubin came with me to Market - & she was a treasure as she is so gracious & she also lived in Salt Lake City (where the year’s Spring Market was held) for 17 years, so she was a wonderful ‘tour guide’ as well!
We will be getting the new Acorn Quilt & Gift Company items up on the website by the end of this week - & until then - you can see them by clicking on the ‘newsletter’ button at the top of the page - & we’ve put a bunch of Spring Market photos on the ‘photo’ page (- you can see them by clicking on the ‘photos’ button).
It was a wonderful time. . . but it is so good to be home! I missed getting to check in on my blog favorites! I think it will take several days to even come close to catching up!
