It came a day earlier than expected - but yesterday I got the call from the printer that the book manuscript & cover were ready for proofing. Nervously, I went in & picked up the package & spent all yesterday afternoon & evening pouring over it. . . wincing whenever I found a little typo (although I only found three. . . I hope that’s all there are. . . & I wasn’t too tired to see them!). But overall - it was pretty painless.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

I took the manuscript back to the printer first thing this morning. . . & now I feel like a mom who’s little one is off to camp & will be coming back. . . but will be a little changed & a little more grown up. (& underneath it all. . . I’m so excited!)  But. . . it’s out of my hands now - so all I can to is wait. . . for “delivery” day!

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Until then, those of us who are getting ready to go to Spring Quilt Market are now coming into the crazy weeks prior to leaving. This weekend, we here at Acorn Quilt & Gift Company are packing up the “booth” (so to speak), packing up Sample Spree goodies & getting them all ready to ship on Tuesday. We have to send them a little early to the shipping warehouse - where they are organized & then delivered to our booth & all the boxes are waiting there for us on a nice little palette when we arrive on the first set-up day (I love that part!) It’s a little bit of a trade off - to have to get things done & shipped off early - but it is well worth it!

So. . . if you do not see a new post until the middle of next week. . .  you will understand why!
