With Christmas music setting a nice comfy mood . . . I have been keeping so very busy with photo shoots, final touches, proofing for the new book. . . & also what you see above.

What is this you see? . . .  well, although I can’t give a lot of info - just yet - I can tell you that I am working on my first fabric line. It’s something I’ve wanted to do - but thought that I would not get to it for several years down the road. Then a few Quilt Markets ago - I was approached by a company to design for them - but things never really panned out. . . (communication issues for me. . . & that is very important to me) . . . so I put it on the back burner. . .

You know that saying that when God closes a door, He opens a window? Well, that has been true for me in this case & I can say that for me, the ‘fresh’ breezes that have come through this window are just right for me.  I’ve taken my own sweet time getting this first line out - but I am hoping that it will be the first of many.

It’s so funny, because I get asked all the time - “how do you find all your ideas?”. . . & I actually used to worry a little about that too. . .  but since starting - simply starting the process, I now have a drawer-full of vintage swatches, & sketches that are just waiting to be placed on fabric. . . & then into quilts & treasures. . .

Sigh - what a treat. . . (a lot of work too!!). . . but the thought of  all that above . . .that makes it all worth it.
