Wishing you a wonderful celebration of this day we stop & remember the blessing we have in the day that our nation won it’s independence - after a long hard fought fight for freedom. What a blessing indeed for those of us who follow in those “forefathers” steps. May we do them proud.
Although there will be many picnics & outings going on - things will be pretty quiet here. I’m staying inside as the temps are again expected to reach 110+. Bailey & I did our walk earlier this morning - before the sun was fully up - the only decent time, heat index wise, to do so these days! Depending on the weather this evening - we may go catch the nearby fireworks - but I’m a little worried about the bangs & how little Bailey will react. . . hmm . . . We may just get our fireworks (which I love!) via the Boston Pops’ “Pop Goes the Fourth” on TV this evening. . . (I love that concert!) &/or “A Capitol Fourth” from DC. Either way - I must get to see a fireworks display! It’s just not the same without them.
So today will be filled with getting the last of this weeks orders packed & ready to ship, and getting a few handwork projects ready for my much anticipated trip!
On Saturday, I’m leaving on a twelve-day get away. . . & I’m so very excited. . . it ends with going to the annual outdoor quilt show in Sisters Oregon! . . . more details coming!
Happy (& safe) Fourth!
xo.
