I heart my #57
Now. . . if you don’t own a Bernina sewing machine - you might not get this post - but if you do & if you are a quilter then this is for you!
Just recently - I got a new foot for my Bernina - a #57 . . . & I’m in love with it already. It is just like the #37 foot (the 1/4 inch foot) - but my experience is that I can easily (especially when I’m tired) go a little to the outside (or inside) of the foot. Well, the #57 has a little drop down lever on the right side of 1/4” foot that makes keeping a constant 1/4” a breeze! I love it!
I was working on a new design this past weekend & did a ‘test drive’ with my new little foot. . . it worked like a charm! I was stitching together 1” strips (to make 1/2” finished stripes/rows) & the consistency was right on!
If you are interested in getting one of these sweet little babies - you will need to know your machine model & the year you purchased your machine - as they have two different #57 feet - one for newer machines, & one for older models. I have seen them priced from $35 - $39. . . but they are so worth it!
